GENERAL PURPOSE: Plans, organizes, directs and manages the Pullman City Public Works department. CLASSIFICATION SUMMARY: The principal function of an employee in this class is to direct the civil and traffic engineering, protective inspections, street maintenance, water/wastewater/stormwater operation and maintenance, transit system, and equipment rental operations for the City of Pullman. Work is performed through subordinate supervisors and under the general direction of the City Administrator who reviews work performed for the efficient and cost effective operation of the department.  May serve as City Administrator in his/her absence.
